Home Behavior Assistance For Elders

Behavior Assistant Services for the Elderly

At Home Health Solutions Group we offer in-home service provided by a license Behavioral Health Assistant. We work towards replacing maladaptive or aggressive behavior with positive and safe coping skills.

A client on this program has a behavioral health diagnosis that resulted in adverse or unsafe behavior. Home Health Solutions Group works towards replacing maladaptive or aggressive behavior with positive and safe coping skills. When psychiatrists, psychologists and other mental health professionals need help with clients who are mentally ill or have behavioral disorders, they turn to behavioral health technicians and behavioral assistants. These mental health assistants may work full-time or part-time; their shifts can span evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. They work in facilities that operate 24-hours a day, including treatment centers and treatment at home Behavioral health technicians and assistants observe clients, listen to their concerns, record their observations and report to mental health professionals about any unusual behavior. They can check vital signs such as temperature and heart rate; give medication under the direction of medical staff; and help with daily living activities such as eating, bathing and grooming. When a patient's mood or behavior changes, a technician must be able to assess whether it is positive, negative or potentially dangerous. He takes steps to modify the patient's actions or alerts medical professionals.
